Chambers: Flingjutsu Project

The project nicknamed Flingjutsu, was a mobile PVP game focused on collecting heroes and building teams. It was an unreleased project I worked on while at Backflip Studios. I was responsible for character design, some background design, and guiding other artists on the visual direction of the game. This character in particular was meant to be a long range, sniper character named Chambers. Click on the images for more details!

After receiving a description from a designer or writer from the team, this is how my process would typically go. Top Left: the initial thumbnails - here I focused on capturing an interesting pose full of energy and movement. Top Right: After determining pose, I would sketch some clothing/armor options and refine his final image. Bottom Left to right: a break-out image of the rifle, final action pose, and the final line art.
